UK government approves Huawei for 5G

In mobile news, it’s been announced that the government have approved Huawei equipment for use in building certain aspects of the UK’s 5G infrastructure. It’s been suggested that the Chinese company will be able to supply “non-core” equipment such as antennas. This comes in the face of the US encouraging its intelligence allies (including the UK) to exclude them.

Service desk news

The service desk team have had a busy couple of weeks, with tasks including liaising with BT to resolve a customer’s multi-line PSTN fault, fixing a WiFi issue in a busy office, and helping a customer who was experiencing poor audio quality on their phone lines. They’ve also been rolling out Office 365 upgrades, and taking action to resolve a phishing email problem experienced by a customer.
