In November, our quality management system was audited against ISO 9001:2015 and we’re delighted to have achieved the required standards.
We previously held ISO 9001:2008 accreditation for the sale and maintenance of phone systems and the maintenance of IT systems. The new 2015 standard has been updated to be much broader and now includes our full range of services, with our quality management system now covering all areas of the business.
In the months leading up to the assessment, we worked to create a new QMS framework to the 2015 standard, and established new systems and processes to help us achieve this. Our updated management system is structured around 13 key processes which also link our actions to potential risks and opportunities.
As part of our new framework, our New Customer Service Introduction process was updated to cover our full range of products, and we produced a new Quality Policy Statement to give a clear overview of our commitment to quality standards and the areas which this covers.
During the audit, we were assessed on not only the processes we have in place, but also how well we’re using them. Our business changes were reviewed, along with the updated scope of our management system, our business strategy and the organisational context.
Only 35% of UK companies have successfully completed the 2015 standard so far, so this is a particularly proud achievement for us. We're delighted that our Quality Policy Statement and level of customer service were highlighted as particular strengths.Nigel Davies - Technical Director - IT Services at PSU Technology Group Ltd
We’re incredibly pleased to have successfully earned this accreditation, and we’re now looking forward to our certificate presentation at BSI’s offices in February.
