October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a worldwide campaign involving thousands of organisations. On Friday 20th October we joined with workplaces, schools & communities across the country to take part in Breast Cancer Now’s “wear it pink” day.
As the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now is dedicated to funding research into the disease, supporting nearly 400 of the world’s top researchers across the UK and Ireland.
As well as paying a donation to wear our favourite pink clothes to work, we also held a huge cake sale and sweepstake to raise funds for the charity.
We had an amazing selection of delicious cakes provided by our staff, with highlights including sweet potato brownies, shortbread topped with pink sprinkles and pink iced cupcakes.
We invited our neighbours from the surrounding business units to join us at our Cheltenham HQ, and they also donated generously. Through the day’s fundraising activities, we’re absolutely delighted to have raised a total of £205 (and 20p!) for this worthy cause.
