We’re looking for a driven, experienced professional, who is passionate about technology and customer service, to join our highly experienced and dynamic 3rd line technical team, as Technical Implementation Consultant.  This role is a mixture of projects and BAU support.

What you'll be doing

  • To be a point of senior technical escalation, providing assistance and mentoring junior members of staff on a wide range of technologies
  • To deliver best practice on call management: investigate, diagnose, detail and resolve complex incidents within agreed fix time periods
  • Working within an agile methodology, you will contribute to the scope, architectural design and delivery of technical projects, adhering to best practice methods and defined timeframes
  • Building close working relationship with clients, gaining a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables, managing expectations and escalating risk on a timely basis
  • Documenting pre-and post-sales visits in a technical and commercial manner
  • Ensure that critical systems and servers are maintained / monitored through regulated checks and testing - detailing required updates and upgrades
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation
  • Highlighting and putting forward recommendations, where relevant, to outline how to improve and grow infrastructure systems
  • Proactive support and maintenance for Company infrastructure and to ensure business continuity
  • Prepared to work out of hours / on call when required
  • Any other duties deemed appropriate for this role

What would make you a good fit for this role?

Key Technical Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar, senior technical role ideally within an MSP environment
  • At least two years’ proven track record of project implementation
  • Configuration and support of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems 2012 / 2016
  • Troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and VLANs
  • Strong scripting experience (e.g. Windows PowerShell).
  • Good knowledge of Citrix XenApp 7.X
  • Microsoft Exchange configuration and troubleshooting 2010 / 2016
  • Competent with Microsoft SQL Server, Exchange Server to Office 365 administration, architecting and implementation
  • Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Deployment of Azure technologies
  • Configuring and managing Cisco switches/firewall
  • Good working knowledge of major networking components, to include networking operating systems, basic configuration and maintenance, Switches, Router, Load Balancers and Firewalls especially Cisco experience
  • Systems migrations, system recovery and security
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows 7 - 10 operating systems
Technical Qualifications (Desirable)
  • CCNP or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • MCSA-Microsoft Windows Server 2012/Office365
  • MCSE- Microsoft Certified Solution Expert
  • MCITP-Microsoft Certified IT Professional
  • ITIL V3 Foundation
  • Agile training
